Wanted: Compassionate Teachers for TeachKind Contest!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! We want to thank you for being a part of TeachKind and for setting an example by teaching your students always to treat animals with kindness. To show teachers how much we appreciate their hard work, dedication to students, and compassion toward animals, we have a fun contest for you to participate in!

To enter the contest, e-mail Info@teachkind.org by Thursday, May 17, with a story about how you and your students have been kind to or otherwise taken action to help animals this school year. Be as detailed as possible—we want to hear all about your hard work! You must include your name, the grade and subject you teach, your school's name, and a picture of you with your class.

We will choose TWO winners: one for grades K-5 and one for grades 6-12. The winners will be chosen by a panel of PETA judges. We'll be considering how creatively you inspired your students to help animals, how you and your students have impacted your school and community in a positive way, and the photo that you include with your story. The winning teacher will have his or her story featured on our website and receive a free TeachKind tote and travel mug as well as a copy of PETA's Making Kind Choices book! The winner will be chosen on Tuesday, May 22, and contacted via e-mail.
