Connect With Compassion: Share Vegan Creamer With Your Colleagues

Teachers lead busy lives—and when your job involves managing a classroom full of kids, your morning coffee (and midmorning coffee … and afternoon coffee …) can quickly become your bestie. Since you’re committed to making your lessons humane, it’s critical to ensure your coffee isn’t supporting cruelty, which you can do by avoiding dairy milk and creamers.

Why Is This Important?

Because cows in the dairy industry are treated like nothing more than milk machines. They are forcibly manually inseminated, and their beloved calves are torn away from them, often within hours, each time they give birth. They are bred—and sometimes pumped full of hormones—to produce 4.5 times more milk than they would naturally. Instead of nursing their calves, mother cows are hooked up to uncomfortable milking machines multiple times a day, which can cause painful infections. They’re forced to live in cramped, filthy conditions, often surrounded by their own waste, and once they reach 4 or 5 years old and their milk production wanes, they’re sent to slaughter. There is no excuse for this cruelty.

What Can You Do?

Thankfully, using vegan creamer is a small but important act of protest against the cruel dairy industry, in which millions of cows suffer every year. This easy switch is not only beneficial to your health but also lifesaving for cows—and there are so many delicious options to choose from that you’re bound to find a favorite.

But don’t stop with your own cup of joe! Give your fellow educators the opportunity to make compassionate changes for animals in their lives, too, by donating some vegan creamer to your teacher’s lounge for everyone to try.

Set it out next to the coffee in the morning or put a note on it indicating that others should feel free to try it. Sometimes, all it takes is an opportunity to try something new for someone to make a change. By bringing vegan creamer to share with colleagues, you’ll be helping to change minds and spreading a bit of spontaneous cheer.

To thank you, we’re giving away FREE TeachKind mugs!

The first 10 teachers who send us a picture of the vegan creamer that they’ve donated to their teacher’s lounge are eligible to receive a free mug.

These super-cute TeachKind cups are the perfect way to show your passion for compassion while you fuel up for a fun day of teaching.

Follow These Three Simple Steps:

Step 1

Choose a vegan creamer. Many options are available, such as soy, almond, coconut, or pea protein, and they are easy to find in almost any grocery store.

Step 2

Bring the creamer to your teacher’s lounge, and let your coworkers know that it’s there for them to try. Be sure to mention that by leaving cow’s milk out of their coffee, they will be doing great things for their health and won’t be supporting cruelty to animals.

Step 3

Take a picture of the vegan creamer in the teacher’s lounge and send it to us. The first 10 teachers who email us a photo of the creamer they’ve put in their lounge will receive a free TeachKind mug. Want some leaflets about the dairy industry to share too? Let us know in your email, and we’ll send you some for free.

E-mail the photo to us at [email protected]. Please also include your full name and mailing address so we know where to send your new mug.

We’re rooting for you!
