Ellie the Elephant and Carly the Cow’s Spring Tour 2025

Students celebrate with their hands in the air next to Ellie, the animatronic elephant

From the bright lights of Las Vegas to bustling New York City—Ellie the Elephant and Carly the Cow had an outstanding spring tour season. Both of our animatronic educators embarked on their mission to inspire, educate, and bring their important message of kindness for all to thousands of students around the country. In TeachKind’s biggest season yet, our two animatronic educators visited over 27,270 students this semester!

Ellie the Elephant was the talk of the town in Las Vegas! Ellie spent a large part of her spring tour there, visiting over 30 elementary schools just in the Clark County School District. With her lifelike movements and interactive presentation, Ellie captivated her young audiences and sparked meaningful conversations.

One student said, “Just because animals don’t talk in a way we can understand, it doesn’t mean we should do anything we want with them.” Common answers we receive after we ask students how we can help all animals includes: “Use empathy!” and “We should treat them the way we would want to be treated.”

Tom Williams Elementary School sent us a wonderful testimony. In part, it reads:

“Empathy and compassion are both concepts that are emphasized and taught here at Tom Williams ES, but it can be difficult for students to really understand what those things mean. Ellie the Elephant was able to help with that understanding. It wasn’t just another lesson—it was an experience. … TeachKind’s impact has been immeasurable, and the presence of Ellie was a pivotal moment in the students’ emotional and social growth.” – Tom Williams Elementary School

Carly the Cow’s spring adventure explored eastern states, visiting schools in Atlanta, Dallas, Cincinnati, New York City, and Washington D.C—to name a few! Everywhere Carly went, students, school faculty, and even passers-by were in complete awe of Carly’s realistic magic! Students would ask, “Is she real?” as they sat down for the presentation. And the kids didn’t hold back in expressing their admiration for Carly, as students would shout, “I love you, Carly!”

During our presentations, young students shared many inspiring ideas about what we can do to help all animals, including: “Form a group and talk about how important animals are to us.”  “We can listen and learn from animals.” And “Make sure they have enough love in the world.”

Avondale Elementary School said in a testimonial:

Our students were enchanted with Carly the Cow, the life-size ambassador for empathy and kindness who narrates her lesson with realistic head and mouth movements as well as numerous examples of how (and why) we can treat all of our fellow human and non-human animals with respect and compassion. Our teachers were also tickled by Carly and the helpful materials provided at the end of the presentation to continue the lesson back in the classroom.” – Avondale Elementary School

Each student who attends Ellie and Carly’s presentations receives free coloring sheets, stickers, and more!
