No cruelty and no smell
“I found this experience really helpful. Most of the students were excited to be able to do a dissection without harming an animal. They were also appreciative that the frogs didn’t smell!” – Micki Halsey Randall, Ph.D. Science Teacher, Blanchet Catholic School
Easy cleanup and teacher-friendly resources
“From a practical standpoint I liked how easy the clean up of the Kind Frog was and how I did not have as many safety concerns as I would with a preserved frog. I even had my students use scissors for the dissection instead of scalpels for added safety measures. This allowed us to really relax and explore the frog’s anatomy without all that extra stuff to worry about.
I was able to send a couple students home with a Kind Frog to dissect who knew they were going to be absent on dissection day, which of course would not be possible with a preserved frog. Additionally, I appreciated all the resources for students that came with the Kind Frog pilot program, we actually stretched this activity out for the week before our spring break and it was just what I needed to keep my students engaged and learning.” – Lauren Coker, Science Teacher, Duncan-Russell Community Day School
Empathetic and eco-friendly
“The experience was fantastic! The children were so appreciative that these were not real frogs. They did not want to dissect real frogs. A few couldn’t even bring themselves to dissect these and that was ok too. We are so very appreciative of what you all have provided as a replacement to real frogs. I think teachers and schools would absolutely use these long term. That’s another benefit , they can be used multiple times. My class enjoyed stitching them back up too.” – Susan Edwards, Teacher, Firefly Homeschool Community
